Recently, under the leadership of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Electronics Institute Tianquan Company from China North Industries Group Corporation Limited (NORINCO GROUP) completed the construction of the ground-based microwave radiometer observation station on Yongxing Island, Sansha City, Hainan Province, and began the long-term continuous observation of the marine atmospheric climate conditions in the South China Sea. The ground-based microwave radiometer independently developed by Tianqiong Company has the characteristics of multi frequency band, high accuracy, and real-time data transmission. The stationing of Tianqiong's ground-based microwave radiometer on Yongxing Island in the South China Sea will further improve the monitoring capability of China's Marine remote sensing technology, and provide important data support for Marine climate observation, meteorological forecasting and early warning services and Marine scientific research in the South China Sea.
